Sanchi Stupa is a Buddhist statue in India. It is situated in Madhya Pradesh. There are many halls here in which ancient statues of Buddha are kept. It was built by King Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. This is a very big stupa of Buddha which is about 42 feet. 

It symbolizes the cycle of law called Dharma. It is painted with Maurya polish which resembles glass on ceremonial days. 

 It says that the stupa was built during the reign of the Guptas which was in 450 AD. 

 The Ashoka Pillar in the Sanchi Stupa has been seen in the national emblem of India. It has been taken from the Sanchi Stupa.
