Konark Temple is located at Konark in Puri district of Odisha. It is also known as Padma Kheta. It is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
It basically depicts the chariot of Lord Surya with the wheels decorated with a variety of symbols and pulled by six horses. This is one of the famous temples.
It was built by King Narasimha Dev I in 1244 to worship Lord Surya. The art has been seen in the carvings on the wall. It is famous for is rich heritage. It is one of the wonders of India.
