Weather News: MeT predicts rain in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu; Delhi records minimum temperature of 13.8 degrees Celsius

New Delhi: The Meteorological Department has forecasted rain and overcast conditions for the southeastern region of Rajasthan until April 3. On April 2, light rain and thundershowers are anticipated in the Udaipur and Kota divisions, while the Jaipur, Ajmer, and Kota divisions may experience similar weather on April 3.

A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for seven districts on April 2 and for eleven districts on April 3.

Many cities reported minimum temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius. Ajmer recorded a low of 15.7 degrees Celsius, while Bhilwara noted 13.2 degrees, Vanasthali 13.6 degrees, Alwar 14.2 degrees, Pilani 13.4 degrees, Chittorgarh 13.5 degrees, and Dholpur 16 degrees. In Jaipur, the day began with clear skies but transitioned to light cloud cover by evening, with a maximum temperature reaching 33.8 degrees Celsius, resulting in mild warmth.

In Delhi, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported a minimum temperature of 13.8 degrees Celsius on Monday, which is 4.3 degrees below the seasonal average. At 8:30 AM, humidity levels were at 42 percent, and the IMD predicts a maximum temperature of around 33 degrees Celsius for the day.

In Tamil Nadu, the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has predicted heavy rainfall across various districts in the upcoming days, with isolated showers expected to persist until April 5. The latest weather bulletin indicates that Coimbatore, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar, Theni, and Dindigul districts are likely to experience heavy rain on April 2. On April 3, isolated rain is anticipated in the ghat regions of Coimbatore, the Nilgiris, and Erode, with light to moderate rain expected in some areas of the state on April 4 and 5.
