Sparks, Smoke, Panic: Power Chaos In Karnataka Village Damages 100 Homes

Yadgir, Karnataka: A sudden electrical failure ignited a series of fires, causing chaos and destruction in the tranquil village of Jalibenchi in Yadgir district, Karnataka. This incident, which took place late last night, impacted nearly one hundred homes, leaving behind a scene of burnt appliances and injured residents.

Numerous videos of the alarming event have circulated widely, showcasing dramatic images of sparks flying from electric poles, smoke billowing from rooftops, and the charred remains of interiors. Footage captured within the affected homes reveals significant destruction, including burnt switchboards, charred batteries, blackened fan blades, and ruined household items such as televisions and refrigerators.

Two individuals sustained injuries during the incident, but their conditions are reported to be stable. Emergency services responded promptly, managing to control the fire hazards.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident may have been triggered by sudden strong winds that swept through the area. These gusts could have caused aging electrical wires to touch, leading to short circuits and subsequent fires. However, the precise cause has yet to be officially determined.
