Israel-Hamas War: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on the phone to Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi on Monday (November 6) regarding the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. PM Modi told on social media that he spoke on the phone to Iranian President Syed Ibrahim Raisi regarding the difficult situation in West Asia and the Israel-Hamas conflict.
He and Iranian President Raisi stressed the need to reduce tensions, continue humanitarian assistance, and quickly restore peace. PM Modi further said that he welcomed the progress in bilateral cooperation including Chabahar Port.
Had also talked to Iran’s Foreign Minister
Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar also spoke on the phone on Sunday (November 5) to Iran’s Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdullahian regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict. Jaishankar said, ‘(Aamir-Abdullahian) was made aware of the importance of stopping the conflict and providing humanitarian assistance.
More than ten thousand people lost their lives
The war between Israel and Hamas has been going on since October 7. On the morning of October 7, Hamas had infiltrated Israel by launching a rocket attack. After this, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that we are in a war and we will win it.
So far 1,400 Israeli people have lost their lives in this attack. Hamas has also taken more than 200 people hostage. Meanwhile, news agency AP quoted Gaza’s Health Ministry as saying that more than 10 thousand people of Palestine have been killed.
