PM Narendra Modi Oath Ceremony: List of Ministers

PM Narendra Modi Oath Ceremony

LIVE PM Modi Oath Ceremony: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in for a third consecutive term today, alongside 72 newly appointed ministers in his cabinet. This achievement marks him as the first Prime Minister since Jawaharlal Nehru of the Congress party to secure a third term in office. The composition of the new cabinet was finalized after an extensive 11-hour meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence the previous day.

For the oath-taking ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan, a robust three-tier security arrangement has been implemented. Security forces, including commandos from the Delhi Police’s SWAT team and the NSG, have been stationed around the venue and key strategic points throughout Delhi. The city remains on high alert for the event.

Neighbourhood First

To ensure the safety of the proceedings, the Delhi Police have imposed a no-fly zone over the national capital, prohibiting the use of aerial devices such as drones, paragliders, remote-controlled aircraft, and hot air balloons for the next few days.

The swearing-in ceremony was a significant diplomatic event, with leaders from neighboring countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius, and Seychelles, as well as the Maldives, in attendance. This gathering underscores India’s commitment to its ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy, emphasizing the importance of regional relationships in its foreign policy.
