Pakistan dials Indian DGMO, both sides agree to full ceasefire from 5 pm today: Foreign secretary Vikram Misri

New Delhi: Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that Pakistan contacted the Director General of Military Operations of India, resulting in an agreement to cease all military activities on land, at sea, and in the air starting at 5 PM.

Misri stated, ‘Pakistan reached out to the Indian Directors General of Military Operations at 15:35 hours today, and it was mutually agreed that both parties would halt all firing and military operations effective from 1700 hours IST.’

He further mentioned that directives have been issued on both sides to ensure compliance with this agreement, and an additional discussion between the Directors General of Military Operations is scheduled for May 12 at 1200 hours.
