One more Monk ISKON temple arrested in Bangladesh

New Delhi: Radharaman Das, spokesperson and vice president, made a statement on his X account regarding the recent events involving monk Shyam Das. He asserted that Shyam Das was taken into custody by the Bangladesh police during a visit to meet with him and Chinmoy Krishna Das, the spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sanmilita Sanatani Jagaran Jote, earlier this week.

In a post on his official X account, Radharaman Das shared a photograph of monk Shyam Das and questioned whether he appears to be a terrorist. He expressed his shock and concern over the arrest of the innocent monk, describing it as deeply disturbing.

Additionally, Radharaman reported that another ISKON Centre in Bhairav, Bangladesh, had been vandalized, sharing a video of the incident in his post. He also noted that on Thursday, a group forcibly shut down an ISKON Centre in Shibchar, which he deemed an unfortunate occurrence.

Radharaman Das further stated to the media in Kolkata that following the arrest of monk Shyam Das, protests against the Bangladesh government’s actions towards Hindus and the targeting of ISKON monks would intensify in Kolkata.
