MP Elections 2023: BJP’S Masterstroke Plan For ‘Mahakaushal’, PM Modi visited three times!

MP Elections 2023: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lagged far behind in the 2018 elections in the Mahakaushal area of Madhya Pradesh. The Congress had won power in Madhya Pradesh after 15 years by taking a huge lead in Mahakaushal. For this reason, this time BJP has a special focus on Mahakaushal. In the first list of 39 candidates announced on Thursday (August 17), the maximum number of 11 candidates are from the lost seats in this area.

Before understanding the political equation of Mahakaushal, let us know on which seats BJP has declared its candidates first and given them a big task.

Former Minister Anchal Sonkar from Jabalpur East (SC) of Mahakaushal district and Neeraj Thakur, son of former MLA Pratibha Singh from Bargi, Dhirendra Singh from Barwara (ST) of Katni district, Omprakash Dhurve from Shahpura (ST) of Dindori district, Dr. Vijay Anand Maravi from Bichiya (ST) in Mandla district, Bhagat Singh Netam from Baihar (ST) in Balaghat district and Rajkumar Karrae from Lanji (after withdrawal from AAP), Kamal Marskole from Barghat (ST) in Seoni district, Narsinghpur The names of Mahendra Nagesh from Gotegaon (SC) in the district and Prakash Uike from Saunsar in Chhindwara district and Prakash Uike from Pandhurna (ST) have been declared as candidates.

Kamal Nath comes from Mahakaushal area
It goes on to say here that Congress veteran Kamal Nath comes from the
Mahakaushal area of Madhya Pradesh. Eight districts of Jabalpur division come in Mahakaushal, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Katni, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Dindori and Balaghat. The results here have always been surprising. In the 2018 elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party was disappointed in the Mahakaushal area. The major reason for this was believed to be the displeasure of the tribals.

Congress got 4 out of 8 seats in Jabalpur.
The Congress contested the election by making Kamal Nath the face of the CM. Due to this, Congress won all 7 seats in his home district Chhindwara. Similarly, Congress got 4 out of 8 seats in Jabalpur district, the epicenter of Mahakaushal. Of the total 38 assembly seats in the eight districts of Mahakaushal, 24 went to the Congress’s account, while the BJP had to satisfy only 13 seats. One seat was won by an independent. Whereas in the 2013 elections, BJP won 24 seats and Congress won 13 seats. That time also one seat went to the account of an independent.

The results of the year 2018 have made the BJP extremely cautious. This time the party has fielded its top leadership to win the fort of Mahakaushal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited Mahakaushal and surrounding areas three times in the last three months. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan is also constantly making rounds in Mahakaushal, which has the majority of tribal voters.

BJP announced 39 candidates
BJP has hit a masterstroke by announcing the names of 39 candidates long before the date of the election is announced. Not only Congress but also BJP workers and common voters are shocked by this. The party has given them enough time to prepare for the elections by declaring candidates for 11 difficult seats in Mahakaushal after several levels of ground-level surveys. The party is hoping that its decision will be helpful in bringing good results.
