YS Sharmila is fully prepared to combine her YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) with the Congress
Telangana is releasing some very exciting news. In this case, YS Sharmila is fully prepared to combine her YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) with the Congress. By the end of this week, she is expected to formally join the Congress in Delhi. On January 4, YS Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, is probably going to become a member of the Congress. In addition, YS Sharmila founded and serves as president of the YSR Telangana Party.
According to sources, YS Sharmila was offered positions in the AICC General Secretary, Rajya Sabha, and the Andhra Pradesh PCC. Sharmila has accepted the offer from Congress. Let us inform you that Andhra Pradesh will also be holding assembly elections this year. In light of this, the party is getting ready to resurrect the party by giving Sharmila significant authority.
Gave support in assembly elections also
Let us inform you that Y.S. Sharmila supported Congress during the Telangana assembly elections that were held in November of last year. She had declined to enter any of her party’s candidates for office. Sharmila then declared that the state’s elections are being won by the Congress, based on every poll and actual data. If her party gets involved in this, Congress’s votes will be reduced, which will help BRS. She thus offered Congress her support. Since then, there has been talk that the Y.S. Congress could reward Sharmila greatly. Now, just before the Lok Sabha elections, she shocked everyone by declaring that her party would merge with the Congress.
Who is YS Sharmila?
YS Sharmila is the daughter of the late YSR, the Congress chief minister of United Andhra Pradesh, and the sister of Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan. Unexpectedly abandoning the Congress in 2012, Jagan Mohan Reddy founded the YSRCP in a united Andhra Pradesh. He was followed by eighteen MLAs who broke away from Congress. Jagan Mohan Reddy was imprisoned for corruption a few days later. Subsequently, the new party was taken over by his sister YS Sharmila, and mother YS Vijayamma.
The elections were won by YSRCP. A wall began to rise between the two brothers and sisters after Jagan Mohan Reddy was appointed chief minister later on. YS Sharmila acknowledged in the media in 2021 that she and her brother disagreed on politics. In July 2021 itself, she formed the YSR Telangana Party.
