ISRO’s first Sun mission Aditya-L1 to enter final orbit: ISRO Chairman S. Somanath Explain Next plan

Aditya-L1 enters Halo Orbit

Aditya-L1 Mission: ISRO’s solar mission Aditya-L1 has entered halo orbit. Regarding this, ISRO Chairman S. Somanath has said that today’s program was only to place Aditya-L1 in the exact halo orbit. Its installation in the right place is satisfactory.

Addressing the media on Saturday (January 6), S. Somanath said, “It was moving towards a higher orbit. So we had to make a little correction. As per our calculations at the moment it is in the right place. However, we will be in the right place in the next few hours.” We’ll keep an eye on it till then and see if it’s in the right place or not.”

‘It happened as predicted’

He said, “It is quite satisfying for us because it marks the end of a long journey. It has reached its last point 126 days after launching. Reaching the last point is an anxious moment for anyone.” We were completely confident about it. So it happened exactly as predicted. We are very happy.”

‘If changes occur, improvements may have to be made’

ISRO Chairman said that if there is even a slight change in it, we may have to improve it. We do not expect this to happen. We also have particle measurements of what is coming out of the Sun. In addition, we also have low and high-energy X-ray measurements.

He said that we also have a magnetometer, which monitors the space magnetism field. Many people are interested in knowing this effect. It is expected that a lot of scientific information will be available in the coming days. It is noteworthy that Aditya L1, launched from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on Saturday, went through its last and very complex process and entered the Lagrange Point.
