Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas had predicted India’s independence in 1930 itself
In 1947, the country had not yet been divided into two parts, but the British were eager to depart. The final Governor General, Lord Mountbatten, was determined to see the division of the country into two separate entities. On February 20, 1947, British Prime Minister Clement Attlee declared that the British government would transfer power to India by June 1948.
Lord Louis Mountbatten was dispatched to India as Viceroy on March 23, 1947, a day celebrated by the Muslim League as ‘Pakistan Day.’ On June 3, 1947, Lord Mountbatten announced the partition of India.
Lord Louis Mountbatten requested that India and Pakistan choose a date between August 14 and 15 for their independence. Consequently, Pakistan officially declared its independence on August 14, 1947.
Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas had decided the date and auspicious time of Independence Day.
India, on the other hand, set the stroke of midnight on August 15, 1947, as its Independence Day. The task of determining the ‘auspicious moment’ for Independence Day was entrusted by India’s first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, to Ujjain’s renowned astrologer, Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas.
Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas calculated the date and auspicious time for Independence Day. At the same moment the astrologer determined, the British handed over the destiny of India to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, and the British government signed the Indian Independence Act, which occurred at precisely 12:00 midnight.
In Pakistan, when it was 12 o’clock in India, the clocks in Pakistan showed 11:30, as Pakistan’s standard time is 30 minutes behind India’s. As both countries slept, their fates were being decided.
Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas was a master of astrology and was thus given the responsibility of casting the horoscope for independent India. In addition to astrology, he was also a writer, historian, freedom fighter, and journalist.
Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas had predicted India’s independence as early as 1930. The Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan in 1958. He was the astrological advisor to Mahatma Gandhi, Rajendra Prasad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Jawaharlal Nehru.
It is said that Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas advised Mohammad Ali Jinnah against selecting August 14 as the date for Pakistan’s Independence Day, believing it to be inauspicious for Pakistan.
Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas believed that the day did not have a stable ascendant. According to the Panchang, an Aries ascendant was forming on that day, which is considered a moveable ascendant. For the strengthening of democracy, a fixed ascendant is deemed auspicious. It is said that Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas had given this advice to Mohammad Ali Jinnah. In astrological texts, the 11th house is considered an obstacle for those with a moveable ascendant.
In astrological texts, the 11th house is associated with gains, income, elder siblings, achievements, and the fulfillment of desires. Due to the moveable ascendant and planetary defects, the establishment of democracy in Pakistan has remained a distant dream.
Since Pakistan became an independent country, there has been interference from the military. The situation is such that to this day, not a single Prime Minister has been able to complete their term properly.
Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas made numerous predictions, including the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, China’s attack on India, and the death of Lal Bahadur Shastri, all of which came true.
Pandit Surya Narayan Vyas wrote an article in a newspaper published from Kashi (Varanasi) in 1924, in which he stated that Gandhi would not die a natural death but would be killed.
