I.N.D.I.A Seat Sharing: Congress got a setback from the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal
I.N.D.I.A Seat Sharing: After the setback from the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, now the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab has also sidelined the Congress. AAP has made it clear that the party will contest the Lok Sabha elections alone in Punjab.
Punjab CM and AAP leader Bhagwant Mann said that we have nothing to do with Congress in Punjab. He said, “Aam Aadmi Party has shortlisted about 40 candidates for 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab. The party is surveying the candidates for 13 Lok Sabha seats.
However, AAP is still ready for an alliance with Congress in Delhi. Till now the formula for the seven seats here has not been prepared, but a meeting has been held between the National Alliance Committee of Congress and AAP leaders regarding seat sharing. Both the parties have reiterated the point of unity during this period.
Mamata Banerjee gave a shock
In a major blow to the alliance of opposition parties ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (India), West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) co-chief Mamata Banerjee announced on Wednesday (January 24) that we will contest the Lok Sabha elections alone in the state.
Regarding seat sharing between Congress and TMC, he said, “I had given them (Congress) a proposal on seat sharing, but they rejected it in the beginning. Our party has now decided to contest the elections alone in Bengal.
Congress leader Jairam- Sometimes speed breakers come.
On West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s announcement of contesting the elections alone in the state, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has said, “Sometimes speed breakers come. Sometimes red lights come but it does not mean that we will stop travelling. Step back. We cross the speed breaker. Yesterday the same question was asked to Rahul Gandhi. He said that we cannot imagine India’s alliance without Mamata Banerjee and TMC.”
The Congress leader further said- Mamta had said yesterday that we will defeat BJP. We (Congress) are entering Bengal with this spirit. A middle path will be found. India alliance will contest elections in West Bengal also and there will be cooperation of all parties in it.
