G20 Summit 2023: ‘Jai Siyaram…’, when the Union Minister welcomed UK PM Rishi Sunak

G20 Summit India: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak reached Delhi on Friday (September 8) to participate in the G-20 summit. His wife Akshata Murty has also come with him. Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ashwini Kumar Choubey welcomed Rishi Sunak and his wife at the airport.

During this, the Union Minister greeted Rishi Sunak by saying ‘Jai Siyaram’. Ashwini Kumar Choubey’s media advisor Pankaj Mishra said that during the reception, the Union Minister greeted the British Prime Minister with ‘Jai Siyaram’ while congratulating him on the land of his ancestors.

Told the specialty of Buxar to the Prime Minister of Britain

He said that Union Minister Choubey told the Prime Minister of Britain that he is an MP from Buxar in Bihar. Buxar has been a spiritually famous city since ancient times. Where Lord Shri Ram and his brother Lakshman took initiation from Guru Maharishi Vishwamitra and killed Tadka. Prime Minister Sunak listened to the spiritual and cultural saga of India with enthusiasm.

Welcomed as son-in-law and daughter

Pankaj Mishra said that Rishi Sunak looked very excited. The Union Minister also welcomed Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murthy as India’s son-in-law and daughter-in-law. The Union Minister said that the land of India is the land of your ancestors. Everyone is very excited about your coming here.

Also gifted Rudraksh, Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, and Hanuman Chalisa

Union Minister Choubey also apprised Prime Minister Sunak and his wife about the spiritual culture of Ayodhya, Buxar including Sitamarhi, the birthplace of mother Janaki, and Mandar mountain of Banka. Ashwini Kumar Choubey also presented Rudraksh, Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, and Hanuman Chalisa to the Prime Minister.

Came to India for the first time after becoming PM

A group of dancers presented a traditional Indian dance to welcome Rishi Sunak and his wife. This is Rishi Sunak’s first visit to India as Prime Minister after taking over in October last year. According to news agency ANI, sources said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with Rishi Sunak on September 9 on the sidelines of the G-20 summit.
