Pahalgam terror attack
New Delhi: Vladimir Putin of Russia, US President Donald Trump, and other world leaders denounced Tuesday’s terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and offered unwavering support for the terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 visitors. The assault happened at Baisaran Meadow, some five kilometers from Pahalgam, a resort town in Jammu and Kashmir.
Donald Trump declared that the United States fully supports and sympathizes with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the “wonderful people of India.”
In a phone conversation with Prime Minister Modi, Trump stated that the United States is fully behind India’s efforts to bring the perpetrators of the “heinous act” to justice. He also stated on social media that the United States stands firmly with India against terrorism.

“Very alarming news from Kashmir. India and the United States are united in their fight against terrorism. We offer our prayers for the deceased’s souls as well as the healing of the wounded. We extend our sincere condolences and complete support to Prime Minister Modi and the amazing people of India. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Trump stated on his Truth Social social media account.
US Vice President JD Vance was visiting India when the terror assault in Pahalgam occurred, and he sent his sympathies to the victims of the horrific act.
“Usha and I would want to express our sympathy to the victims of the terrible terrorist assault that occurred in Pahalgam, India. The beauty of this nation and its citizens has engulfed us in the last few days. Our prayers and thoughts are with them as they mourn this horrific attack,” Vance said in a post on X.
Russia, UAE, Israel condemn Pahalgam attack
Strong statements denouncing the terror assault were also released by Iran, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, France, and Russia. The Russian Embassy claims that President Putin reaffirmed Russia’s determination to work with Indian allies to combat terrorism in all of its forms and manifestations.
“We sincerely apologize for the devastating effects of the terrorist act that killed residents from a number of different nations close to the town of Pahalgam. This heinous crime cannot have any excuse. We anticipate that its backers and offenders will receive the appropriate punishment. I want to restate my commitment to enhancing our collaboration with our Indian allies in the fight against terrorism in all of its manifestations. The Russian embassy in India cited Russian President Vladimir Putin as saying, “Please send words of genuine grief and support to the near and dear ones of the deceased, as well as wishes for a rapid recovery of the injured.”
In violation of international law, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) firmly denounced such crimes and reaffirmed its unwavering opposition to all types of terrorism and violence intended to threaten security and stability.
In a post on X, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni extended her sympathy for the Indian government and people and said she was extremely grieved by the horrific assault.
“I am really pained by the terrorist assault that took place in India today, which claimed many lives. Italy shows its sympathy to the injured, their families, the government, and and all the Indian people,” she said in a post on X.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Embassy in New Delhi strongly condemns the terrorist incident in the city of #Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which led in the murder and injury of a significant number of innocent persons,” the Iranian Embassy wrote in a post on X. We wish the injured a swift recovery and good health and offer our deepest sympathies to the Indian government and people, particularly to the relatives of the attack victims.”
Thierry Mathou, the French ambassador to India, stated that France and India are fighting terrorism together.
“The heinous act in Jammu & Kashmir is strongly condemned. I am thinking of the victims and their loved ones. Regarding the fight against terrorism, France supports India. “#Pahalgam,” he wrote in an X post.
Reuven Azar, Israel’s ambassador to India, said his nation would help India battle terrorism.
“Sad and horrified by the terrorist incident in J-K that killed innocent bystanders. In a post on X, Reuven Azar stated, “We support the security forces in their fight against terror and our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”
Following the horrific Pahalgam terror incident, Home Minister Amit Shah traveled to Srinagar on Tuesday night to assess the security situation. According to accounts, Amit Shah hurried to Srinagar and drove directly from the airport to the Raj Bhavan hours after the tourist attack.
