Patna: Anant Kumar Singh, a former MLA widely recognized as Chhote Sarkar, has been the target of an attack. In the village of Nauranga-Jalalpur, located within the Mokama block, the infamous Sonu-Monu gang unleashed a barrage of gunfire directed at Singh.

Former Mokama MLA Anant Kumar Singh narrowly avoided injury during this assault. In the aftermath of the incident, Nauranga village has been transformed into a heavily secured police zone, with the Barh DSP stationed at the location. Reports indicate that the Sonu-Monu gang assaulted a local family and forcibly evicted them from their home.
Heightened Tensions in the Village
Upon learning of the situation, Anant Singh confronted the gang at their residence. Upon his arrival, the two brothers fled the scene while continuing to fire shots. Chhote Sarkar narrowly escaped unharmed during this exchange. Presently, the atmosphere in the village remains charged with tension.
Anant’s Release from Jail on August 16
Following the incident, law enforcement arrived at the scene to initiate further investigations. In light of the attack on Anant Singh, Nauranga village has been fortified with police presence. It is noteworthy that on August 14, the Patna High Court cleared him of charges related to the recovery of an AK-47 and a bulletproof vest from his home. As of now, there are no outstanding legal cases against the former MLA, who was released from incarceration on August 16.
