Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife, Kalpana Soren, observed the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami by worshiping Lord Hanuman at their official residence in Ranchi on Sunday.
The couple, residing in a nearby official residence, visited the temple situated within the Chief Minister’s premises. There, they adorned the idol of Lord Hanuman with garlands and offered their prayers to Him. Lord Hanuman is a highly revered figure in Hinduism, celebrated for his steadfast loyalty and strength, and plays a significant role in the Ramayana.
Known as the divine devotee of Lord Ram, whose birth is commemorated through the celebration of Ram Navami across India, Indonesia, and Thailand, Lord Hanuman is associated with Anjani village in Gumla, Jharkhand. According to local Adivasi beliefs, Anjani, the mother of Lord Hanuman, lived in this village.
Consequently, many Adivasis honor Lord Hanuman during Ram Navami, which is recognized as the birthday of Bhagwan Ram.
