Early polls in Andhra Pradesh
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has stated that the Andhra Pradesh election schedule might be announced a little early than anticipated. At the Cabinet meeting that took place here on Friday, he made it clear that the ruling YSR Congress Party was ready for the polls.
“We’re prepared for the upcoming elections. Nonetheless, ministers in the field should continue to operate effectively. The elections that are scheduled might be announced roughly 20 days ahead of schedule, he said.
Additionally, Jagan cautioned his fellow Cabinet members to exercise caution when dealing with opposition parties and the media outlets that back them. He urged them to vigorously dispute the misleading campaign being spread by the yellow media and to not take it lightly.
Congress Challenge to Jagan Mohan Reddy
Gidugu Rudra Raju, the president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress, stated that the party will begin a door-to-door campaign in January to build relationships with voters ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
Gidugu Rudra Raju, the president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), had said to Jagan Mohan Reddy, “You take the two words ‘YSR’ and ‘Congress’ out of your party’s name and then try to get a mandate from the people in the next elections. The Congress Party is the owner of these two names. “Jagan used these two words, which were widely accepted by the people in the state, to come to power,” he said. I issued him a challenge to walk away from these remarks and approach the people to solicit votes.
