BJP Candidates First List: In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024, the first list of candidates was released by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday (March 2, 2024). Names of a total of 195 candidates have been announced in this first list.
34 ministers have also been given tickets in this list. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will once again contest elections from Varanasi. BJP has decided to field PM Modi from Varanasi for the third time.
Tickets also given to 34 Union Ministers and Ministers of State
Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, names of 34 Union Ministers and Ministers of State have been announced. Apart from this, names of Lok Sabha Speaker and two former Chief Ministers have also been included in the first list.
28 women got tickets in the first list
BJP has also given tickets to 28 women candidates in the first list. At the same time, 47 young candidates have also been fielded. Out of total 195 seats, there are 27 SC, 18 ST and 57 OBC candidates.
Candidates fielded on so many seats in these states
The party has announced the names of candidates for 51 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the first list. At the same time, there are 26 seats in West Bengal, 24 in Madhya Pradesh, 15 in Rajasthan, 12 in Kerala, 9 in Telangana, 11 in Assam, 15 in Gujarat, 11 in Jharkhand, 5 in Delhi, 2 in Jammu and Kashmir, 3 in Uttarakhand. Apart from this, names have also been announced on 1 seat each in Chhattisgarh, Goa, Andaman and Daman Diu.

Senior BJP leader Vinod Tawde said during the press conference that the government, dedicated to development with continuity for the last decade, has presented it with the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas. He said that names have been announced for a total of 195 seats in 18 states. On February 29, a decision was taken in the Central Election Committee for 195 seats in 16 states and 2 union territories.
