Bengaluru techie suicide case
New Delhi: A contingent of Bengaluru Police traveled to Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, the hometown of the accused, to further investigate the matter. The Bengaluru Police have apprehended Nikita Singhania, the spouse of a 34-year-old technology professional who tragically took his own life, along with her mother, Visha Singhania, and her brother, Anurag Singhania, in relation to a case of abetment to suicide. They were detained in Gurugram and Prayagraj, respectively, and have since been presented in court. The accused are currently held in judicial custody.
As per the Bengaluru Police, Nikita Singhania is designated as A1 in the case, while her mother, Visha Singhania, and brother, Anurag Singhania, are identified as A2 and A3, respectively. All three individuals were arrested on Saturday morning and subsequently transported to Bengaluru.
A team of Bengaluru Police visited Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, the residence of the accused, to conduct an investigation into the case. The accused have already applied for anticipatory bail, claiming their innocence concerning the techie’s suicide, which has sparked national outrage. The Bengaluru Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) implicating the wife and her family members in the incident.
