Badrinath temple is one of the Char Dham in India. It is situated in Garhwal hill, Uttarakhand. The banks of river goddess Alaknanda in Chamoli district in Uttaranchal. Badrinath is also called Badri Narayana and Badri Vishal. It is above sea-level approx. 133 metre. It is the opposite of nar parvat. Narayan Parvat is situated behind the Neelkant peek.
So, the four dhams are Badrinath of Satyug, Dwarka of Dwarkayug, Rameshwaram from Tretayug and Jagganathpuri have been known in Kalyug. Earlier Badrinath was known for its rich and beautiful hills and environment it was called Badri ka ashram .
