Mumbai: Actor Kareena Kapoor has addressed the incident involving her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, who was reportedly stabbed during a burglary attempt at their home in Mumbai. She urged the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time. Describing the day as particularly challenging, she called for an end to the “relentless speculation and coverage” surrounding the event.
In her statement on Instagram, Kareena expressed her feelings regarding the attack on her husband. She noted that the ongoing scrutiny has become overwhelming and poses a serious risk to their family’s safety.
“This has been an extraordinarily challenging day for our family, and we are still in the process of coming to terms with what has occurred. As we work through this tough period, I respectfully ask that the media and paparazzi cease their relentless speculation and coverage,” Kareena stated.
She further emphasized, “While we are grateful for the concern and support, the continuous attention is not only overwhelming but also presents a significant threat to our safety. I kindly urge everyone to respect our boundaries and allow us the space we need to heal and cope as a family.”
Kareena also expressed her gratitude to those who have shown support during this trying time. “I would like to extend my thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive period,” she concluded her message.

Burglary Attempt at Saif-Kareena’s Residence
On Thursday, an intruder attacked Saif within his 12th-floor apartment located in the affluent Bandra neighborhood, inflicting multiple stab wounds with a knife. The 54-year-old actor was promptly taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and is now reported to be in stable condition, according to medical professionals. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m.
Following the attack, Saif’s staff transported him to the hospital via auto rickshaw. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital’s chief operating officer, later informed the press that Saif sustained six injuries, including two severe lacerations. Surgical intervention was necessary to extract a knife that had become lodged near his spine. Saif is currently stable and no longer in critical condition.
