New Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh: Mohan Yadav has been elected as the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. There will also be two deputy CMs. Jagdish Deora and Rajendra Shukla. Narendra Singh Tomar will be made the speaker. Mohan Yadav has been the Higher Education Minister in the outgoing government and was elected from the Ujjain South seat. His name was approved in the BJP Legislature Party meeting held today. He is also considered to be the favorite of RSS. The appointment of 58-year-old Yadav, a three-time MLA from Ujjain district, is widely seen as the end of the political path (at least in the state) for his predecessor Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Student Union Secretary
Mohan Yadav’s political journey started as student union secretary. After this, he joined Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and later also became the state minister of ABVP. After this, in 2013, Mohan Yadav became MLA for the first time. After this, he was re-elected in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections.
Has been a minister in the Shivraj government
Yadav’s influence in the state’s political scene was further strengthened when he took oath as a cabinet minister in the government led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on July 2, 2020.

Mohan Yadav, born on 25 March 1965 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has been associated with BJP for many years. In the recent 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Mohan Yadav became MLA from Ujjain South seat by winning against Congress candidate Chetan Premnarayan Yadav by a margin of 12,941 votes.
