After a long wait of last 7 years, NASA's ambitious mission landed on earth with asteroid samples.
Osiris -Rex was launched in 2016 and landed on an asteroid named Bennu.
After this he collected to 250 grams of sample from its Rocky surface.
NASA said that this sample will help scientists understand asteroids which can put the earth in danger.
On Sunday, October 1, 2023, this sample returned to the desert of Utah, America ,after completing a journey of 3.86 billion miles.
Scientists said that after separating from his plane in space, he reached Earth in just 13 minutes.
Scientists told that it’s total speed in space was 27,000 miles per hour and the temperature was 5000 Fahrenheit. To examine the sample of this asteroid, scientists have started examining the sample.
Information about what they got from this sample will be given on 11th October. Scientists believe that with this sample they will be able to find out the real age of the earth.
