Qutub Minar was established  by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in 1193. He laid the first foundation of the basement.  

After that his successors Iltutmish and Firoz Shah Ruglaq constructed the remaining part of minar.

Qutub Minar is the tallest minaret in the world made of bricks and its height is approximately 72 meters. 

The incredible fact is that the minaret has not been destroyed for 2000 years.It is on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in Mehrauli. It was completed in 1220. It is also called Vijay Minar.
