65000 murders took place under nitishs rule: Lalu Prasad Yadav

Patna: As the state government faces increasing criticism regarding the alleged rise in crime in Bihar, RJD leader Lalu Prasad and his daughter Rohini Acharya launched a strong offensive on Tuesday, questioning the declining law and order situation in the state.

Lalu mocked the frequent comparisons of the previous RJD administration to “jungle raj,” stating, “Nitish would often assert that people were scared to leave their homes in the evening during our administration. Now, crimes are occurring even before that.”

“Nitish should explain how many murders are happening by breaking into homes before 5 PM?” Lalu questioned in a social media post, made shortly after two separate double murder incidents rattled the state capital.

Referencing official statistics, he asserted that over 65,000 murders had taken place during Nitish’s time in office. “Is Nitish aware that during his administration, according to official records, 65,000 murders have occurred? 65,000 people were killed, 65,000!” he reiterated for emphasis.

Lalu further accused the Nitish-BJP coalition of completely dismantling law and order in Bihar. “The current regime has not only destroyed law and order but has also buried it. Bihar has never experienced such a corrupt, indifferent, and sluggish police force,” he claimed.

Rohini Acharya, who ran in the last Lok Sabha election from Saran, also condemned the government. “Crime is rampant, bullets are flying everywhere, and criminals are more powerful than the police. Yes, this is the state of Bihar under Nitish Kumar ji,” she stated.
